Who you are dealing with

This website is operated by THE GARAGE DOOR COMPANY LIMITED (NZBN 9429047787858), trading as The Garage Door Company, of D2/419 East Tamaki Road, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013, New Zealand ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website you agree to these terms.

Information on this website

We keep the information here as accurate and current as we can, but it is general in nature and provided for guidance. Product specifications, materials, finishes and availability can change, and photographs and renderings are illustrative: the door you receive is made to your measurements and chosen specification, so colour and finish can vary from how they appear on a screen. Where a specification matters to you, confirm it with us in writing before ordering.

Prices and quotes

Any price shown on this website is a guide to typical Auckland market ranges. It is not an offer, a quote, or a commitment to supply at that figure. Prices vary with door size, material, finish, insulation, automation and the condition of your opening, which is why we measure on site.

The price that applies is the one in your written quote. That quote sets out what is included, what is excluded, how and when payment is due, and the warranty that applies to the door and to our workmanship. If anything in it is unclear, ask us before accepting it.

Your rights under New Zealand law

Nothing on this website or in our quotes limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply to you. If you are acquiring goods or services for the purposes of a business, the parties may agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply, and where that is the case it will be stated in your written quote.

Warranties

Doors, openers and components carry the warranty offered by their manufacturer. Our installation work carries our own workmanship guarantee. The specific terms and periods that apply to your job are set out in your written quote and in the manufacturer documentation supplied with the product. Warranties do not cover damage from impact, misuse, unauthorised modification, or a lack of reasonable maintenance such as annual servicing.

Safety

Garage door springs and cables are under high tension at all times and store enough energy to cause serious injury. Repairing, adjusting or replacing them is technician work. Nothing on this website should be read as instructions to do that yourself, and we ask that you keep clear of a door with a broken spring or cable and call us instead.

Using our content

The text, photographs, drawings and design of this website belong to us or to our suppliers and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own use. Please do not republish, sell or use our content commercially without asking us first.

Links to other websites

Some pages link to manufacturer, standards or information websites we do not control. We link to them because they are useful, not as an endorsement, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Privacy

How we handle the information you give us is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Terms already agreed in a written quote are not affected by a later change here.
